Systematics

It has been known for some time that the genus Scilla cannot be maintained in its traditional broad sense. The separation of segregate genera still seems premature, as even the most recent studies have not yet reached clear results in favour of a holistic solution (see, e. g.,, Özüdoğru & al. 2022). The broad version will be retained for the time being.
